It is important to note that this summer school program is not meant to be a punishment for any student and is not a part of any requirement for promotion at either junior high school.  Rather, this is a opportunity to improve reading and math skills and to show your child how rewarding success in school can be.  We are one of the few school districts that will offer this program for 7th and 8th grade students.  To make this program more meaningful to each individual student, this summer school program is offered in a close-to-home, safe, and familiar setting. 

Students that can benefit from this program may include (but are not restricted to) students that:

         - need improvement in organization and study skills,

         - need improvement in basic math skills, or

         - need improvement in reading skills and/or language skills.
