Future Problem Solving
Future Problem Solving Future Problem Solving (FPS) is a team
competition activity. There are four or five students on each team. Each
school can have up to three teams. Teams meet after school for practice
with their coach. The FPS Bowl is usually held the last week in February
at the La Vista Community Center. FPS helps students learn to think more
creatively, develop an interest in the future, learn a six-step problem-solving
process, work as a team, develop research skills, think critically, and
learn how to put on a skit with limited materials.
